NYC Health Screening and Testing
If you are going on a family vacation, it is important to plan ahead and get familiar with your NYC Health Screening clinics. It is always best to have a family doctor or dentist available just in case anyone needs immediate attention. NYC has clinics located throughout the boroughs. They are easy to find with the Yellow Pages, or even on the internet. Once you are at the NYC Health Screening locations you can go right away.
When you arrive to the NYC Health Screening, you need to know when the gates open. The Health Department only accepts cash and check. Most of their clinics accept credit and debit cards as well.
When the gates open, you will be directed to a table. This is where you will fill out your forms, receive a physical examination, and then sign the consent form. You will then be stamped with a security code. Some clinics do not require you to fill out a form. Once the security guards at the entrance give you permission to proceed, you will be asked to stand near the gates and wait.
The NYCO Health Service Centers offers a variety of services. They offer walk-in, and call in services, as well as online availability through their Facebook page. There are several types of NYCO User Groups. The newest ones are “New York Community Health Line” and “NYC Family Health Line”.
The NYCO Family Health Line provides toll-free hotlines for inquiries, emergencies, and other concerns. When the hotline number is called, operators call your family members and perform a variety of social service applications like recording your voice to text messaging, sending a text message to an operator, and even video downloading from your phone to your computer. There is also a live operator at your front door twenty-four hours a day. When your video download is complete, you can view it on your computer screen or cell phone for a limited amount of time. There are no costs associated with using the NYCO Family Health Line.
“New York Community Health Line” uses innovative technology to deliver high quality services to consumers. The NYCO Health Service Center has integrated technology with audio visual services to enhance the overall experience. The result is that each person has a personal computerized experience. If you are experiencing any type of health concern, you can call, speak to a live operator, request a quote, or receive important information about NYCO programs and services.
“HIS,” which stands for “Health Information Network,” is a not for profit service that NYCO established to connect consumers with quality NYCO health care. Members of the public can get free or low cost health screenings, information about new programs, and important information about their health insurance plans. “Hester on High Street,” (HIS) is located in downtown Rochester. Thousands of low-income people live in the Rochester area. By offering free information and promoting community health, the “HIS” program hopes to improve the lives of all those individuals who live in the Rochester area.
The “Affordable Health Care Services” (AHCS) program also offers free family health screenings. Through the AHCAS, family health screening kits are available for sale and distribution at no charge to residents of the Rochester area. In addition, the “Affordable Family Health” booklet provides a list of providers in the Rochester area that offer low cost family health care and highlights some of the characteristics of “affordable” family health care.
